4. Honor 7X – The Budget King

Price: $199.99 on Amazon

Released at the end of 2017, the Budget Kings has a trendy 5.93-inch display with 18:9 ratio and 1080×2160 resolution with a metal exterior. The phone comes with dual-SIM support and a fingerprint scanner on the back.

A 16MP + 2MP dual-lens rear camera has a built-in document scanner and shoots nice detailed pictures, but night shooting is not so great. The maximum resolution for video shooting and on both rear and selfie cameras is 1080p.

It has a 3340mAh battery which offers very good battery life, but Micro USB makes the charging process longer than we are used to. Not great gaming performance, but for everyday use is great for the price.

3. Moto G6 Plus – Another Great Motorola

Price: $279 on Amazon

Motorola G6 Plus provides well-rounded hardware and software experience. Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset with a 2.2GHZ octa-core processor, 4GB RAM, and 64GB storage placed in the water-repellent plastic exterior. The of the phone back is made of Gorilla Glass and, unfortunately, catches a lot of fingerprints.

5.9-inch scratch-resistant IPS LCD display with 2160×1080 resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio, and 409PPI. Small fingerprint reader on the bottom front is very responsive and understands some gestures as well.

12MP + 5MP main camera produces decent-looking images and can shoot 1080p videos with electronic stabilization. There is a Spot Color mode that allows to capture a certain color and leaves the rest black and white. The camera software also allows to blur out the background in the portrait mode. The camera is capable of recording 4K videos at 30 fps.

It has a 3200mAh battery, and, thanks to USB-C port, supports fast charging that Motorola brands as TurboPower. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom, next to the USB-C charging port. Front speaker is very loud and has no sound distortion at maximum volume. You can customize the audio using Dolby Audio.
